He said this during the closing ceremony of the three weeks orientation course for the Batch at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Monday.
He pointed out that the service year is a phase of life that prepares and instills brotherhood amongst corps members as well as enhances unity, national integration and development among group of people.
Mr. Adegoke advised them to leverage on the provided platform of the scheme to actualize their dreams legitimately. He urged them to leverage on the skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development program of the scheme to become not only wealth creators but also employers of labour thereby reducing unemployment in the country.
Furthermore, he enjoined them to accept their postings in good faith, continue to abide by the rules and regulations of the scheme, serve humbly and diligently in order to be good ambassadors of NYSC and the nation.
"Be a shining example and also, be a team player by contributing your quota to the success of the organization you are posted to and to the community development service group that you will belong to hereafter. Aside the group community development service which is compulsory for all corps members, I urge you as an individual to identify a felt need in your community and mobilize to meet that need. By so doing you will be leaving a legacy in that community".
